Going Ga-Ga
(1929)

 

This late silent Hal Roach comedy features Anita Garvin, Marion Byron, Max Davidson and Edgar Kennedy.

The film was presumed lost but an incomplete print with Czech intertitles was recovered and a reconstruction effort has been undertaken by Filmmuseum München.

This PAL DVD incomplete reconstruction is being produced by Filmmuseum München under the supervision of Stefan Drössler. The restoration effort utilizes a fragmentary Czech print recovered by Národni Filmový Archiv and was identified as a work-in-progress in 2010.

The fragments are presented without a music score. The supplementary 1930s films on the collection are presented with their original soundtracks.

North American collectors will need a region-free PAL DVD player capable of outputting an NTSC-compatible signal to view this edition.
