Born 9 January 1898 in Nagydorog, Austria-Hungary (Hungary), as Vilma Koncsics.
Died 18 March 1991 in Los Angeles, California, USA, of heart and respiratory failure.

Sister of director, editor and writer Viktor Bánky.

Married actor Rod La Rocque, 26 June 1927; until Rod’s death, 15 October 1969.

Vilma Bánky appeared in motion pictures in Europe. She was signed by Samuel Goldwyn to come to Hollywood, where she appeared in productions by Feature Productions, Incorporated (1926) and Samuel Goldwyn, Incorporated (1926-1929).
