Bert Wheeler

Born 7 April 1895 in Paterson, New Jersey, USA, as Albert Jerome Wheeler.
Died 18 January 1968 in New York, New York, USA, of emphysema.

Married vaudeville performer Margaret Bruce Grae (stage name Betty Wheeler), 27 April 1915;
divorced, 11 November 1926.
Married actress Bernice Speer, 15 April 1928; divorced, 19 February 1936;
daughter Patricia Anne Wheeler (later, actress Patricia Walters), born 27 January 1936.
Married actress Sally Haines, 26 February 1937; divorced, 2 June 1939.
Married Patsy Orr, 1952; divorced, 1956.

Bert Wheeler is best remembered for his screwball RKO comedy features of the 1930s with partner Robert Woolsey. Wheeler and Woolsey made their film debuts in the full-sound feature Rio Rita (1929) at the end of the silent era, reprising their Broadway roles.
